<\/p>\nHi guys.\u00a0I\u2019m still working on getting iCloud integration working properly.\u00a0Actually, iCloud itself is fine but I want to make sure that it\u2019s presented in such a way that isn\u2019t clunky.\u00a0Basically, it\u2019s going well but it\u2019s not quite perfect yet, so I\u2019m gonna keep tweaking until it\u2019s just right.\u00a0However, I got a request from a user for a bit more automation in handling duplicates.\u00a0So, I decided to release an update just for Khalid.\u00a0This update is going to do a couple of important things.<\/p>\n
First of all, the app has been updated to a totally new data model.\u00a0The old flat data files will no longer work; I had to switch over to a document based data model in order to ensure proper iCloud functionality.\u00a0When you load up the new version you\u2019ll see two sections in your Lesson List.\u00a0Your old data files will be at the bottom.\u00a0\u00a0 A single tap will convert them to the new document format.\u00a0I decided NOT to automatically convert your old files so that you can manually choose to update, backup, and delete them as you so desire.\u00a0That way, you don\u2019t have to worry about the update interrupting your ability to backup your old data files so that you can return to an older version of the app.\u00a0Most people are just going to want to update all of their old files and delete the originals.\u00a0Once you\u2019ve converted your data files to documents you\u2019ll be all set to go for the next version with iCloud.<\/p>\n
Secondly, you\u2019ll have the option to keep your original cards or your new imports when checking for duplicates.\u00a0If you\u2019d like to prevent automatic deletions, simply favorite any card that you\u2019d like to keep around.\u00a0Starred cards will never be automatically deleted.<\/p>\n

You also might notice that searching is a bit faster in this version.\u00a0I actually implemented live searching a LOOOOONG time ago but had to turn it off because the old third generation devices simply couldn\u2019t handle it dependably.\u00a0It shouldn\u2019t be a problem on current generation devices, however.<\/p>\n
